STTP inicia estudos topográficos para implantação do metrô

A Superintendência de Trânsito e Transportes Públicos de Campina Grande, STTP, está executando mais uma etapa de estudos para a instalação do novo sistema de transporte da cidade, o metrô leve sobre trilhos (VLT). Há aproximadamente dez dias, uma equipe de 20 homens da SESUMA (Secretária de Serviços Urbanos e Meio Ambiente) estão trabalhando na limpeza e capinagem dos trechos que o VLT irá funcionar.

Os serviços foram iniciados no bairro do Araxá e já estão nas proximidades da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG), totalizando 3 dos 13 quilômetros que o VLT irá percorrer. O objetivo do trabalho é fazer um levantamento topográfico, analisando os níveis de linha férrea, e confirmando a qualidade da malha viária que irá receber o metrô.

A previsão é que essa etapa seja concluída entre 20 e 30 dias. A partir do levantamento, e em cima dos dados que forem colhidos, Campina Grande estará pronta para receber o metrô de superfície, que beneficiará a população proporcionando menores custos nas deslocações e trazendo maior fluidez para o trânsito.

STTP starts topographic studies for deployment of the subway

The Superintendent of Traffic and Public Transport in Campina Grande, STTP, is running a stage of studies for the installation of the new transport system of the city, the metro light rail (LRT). There are approximately ten days, a team of 20 men SESUMA (Secretary of Urban Services and Environment) are working on cleaning and weeding of the passages that the VLT will work.

The services were started in the neighborhood of Araxá and are already near the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), totaling 13 km 3 of the VLT will go. The objective is to make a survey, analyzing the levels of railway line, and confirming the quality of roads that will receive the subway.

It is expected that this step is completed between 20 and 30 days. From the survey, and on top of data that are collected, Campina Grande is ready to receive the tube surface, which will benefit the population by providing lower costs and bringing in more fluid movements for transit.
